I was bummed by the fact that I started having issues with random text missing in many, but not all, games in DirectX mode and jitters in OpenGL mode, both causing different playability issues. I after getting DirectX, video drivers and other necessary software up to date, I reinstalled the version of BlueStacks available at that point (in the 4.100 range). Unfortunately Windows 10 was not as friendly with some of my other Windows games as 7 had been, and after too many issues I decided in the last month to wipe the drive again and return it to a dual boot state. Downloaded the BlueStacks available at that time and again, it worked well. When Microsoft announced via Windows Update that they were going to stop supporting 7 by the end of 2019, I decided to wipe the drive and reinstall 7 so as to upgrade it to 10.
Graphics worked well on both DirectX and OpenGL, but there was a slight input delay on GL so I usually kept it on DirectX. Last year, updated to BlueStacks 4 from a 3/3N combo on the Windows 7 partition of a dual boot once it was working well.
